While you may not realize it, twitter is joining the ranks of facebook and myspace. It may be a slow climb, but with it's ability to openly "follow others" and be "followed" yourself, twitter has become more than just the 140 characters. It has allowed people to update their page with up to date information, whether it is what you ate for breakfast or something like the attack in Mumbai. More and more companies and news sites have been utilizing this social media resource because it taps into the consumers of the news and products.
Love it or hate it, twitter is here to stay. Maybe you'll become the next internet sensation with your tweets.
